Winter hiking and snowshoeing through the snowy winter landscape, a fun toboggan ride, sporty cross-country skiing on the almost endless and perfectly prepared trails or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride with a hot mulled wine - the choice is yours! Winter hiking
& snowshoeing
Whether you are young or old, we recommend an extended winter or snowshoe hike for all nature lovers! A hike through the snowy, idyllic winter landscape gets the heart pumping and refreshes the mind. 6 signposted routes are available in Obertauern and on the Gnadenalm.
Gnadenalm toboggan run
Tobogganing fun for the whole family! The Gnadenalm is 4 km from Obertauern and offers a 1.5 km-long toboggan run. The natural toboggan run is open from 11:00 a.m. and is floodlit at night. If you don't want to walk to the starting point, you can also use the Skidoo shuttle.
Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiers can expect kilometres of cross-country trails and a beautiful, snow-covered winter landscape under ideal conditions. And if you do something for your fitness at the same time, then it's even more fun. 5 different routes of varying degrees of difficulty with lengths between 3 km and 23 km are available in Obertauern, on the Gnadenalm and in Tweng.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides
Wrapped up in warm wool blankets, you can enjoy the romantic atmosphere as the horse-drawn sleigh glides through the winter landscape around Obertauern. Surrounded only by the gentle tinkling of the harness and the occasional snorting of the horses as they trudge through the snow, it's easy to start dreaming!
Helicopter flight
